Had a lot of fun at AnimeNext. Managed to make a few friends while I was there and it was a blast. Even took part in my first cosplay Photoshoot, which was for Persona. Of course, I caught con flu so its taking me a few days to become mobile again.
Next con I'm looking at is probably gonna be Otakon down in Baltimore. Haven't been there for a few years, but all the con friends I've been meeting seem to be converging there, so it looks like I'm gonna need to start hunting for a hotel. Hopefully it won't be unbearably hot (Haha, who am I kidding?).
A friend of mine who's starting to cosplay with me has been bringing up various ideas for costumes that I've been interested in, its just a matter of narrowing them down.

God, does anyone else even remember Crystal Chronicles? The only reason that hasn't been locked down is just a matter of figuring out whether people would even recognize us, because that one sounds like the most fun. I love all three of the other games mentioned, but Ringabel will be a pretty difficult one I imagine. The hair alone would be a challenge. And as far as a FE:A cosplay goes, I would need others to be willing to cosplay with me for that. FE:A wouldn't be nearly as fun without a Chrom or Lucina. Definitely would have to be a big group cosplay.
Anyway, I'll update here when I figure out what costumes I'm gonna decide on for Otakon and when I find a good hotel to crash at. Toodles for now.

AnimeNext Cometh?
Wow, its been a while since I've been on DeviantArt. Had a lot of cleaning out messages and updates and such from my box to do. Been keeping real busy with real life stuffs and not a whole lot of costuming outside of PPL '14's Iron Gentleman outfit, which I should probably post here. At any rate! I'll be hitting up AnimeNext 2014, if anyone else is heading out there this year. Its been a long time coming, but this year I managed to put time aside for it and nabbed a 3-day.
Not sure what costumes I'll be wearing yet. Tamaki and Black are maybes, but I'll definitely be rocking Yosuke for at least one. With my headphones pumping Persona tunes,
PAX East Cometh.
So hype. Yeah, PAX East approaches (in a little under a month), and as a member of the Pokemon League there, I'm just about all ready for it. Was even revealed on the website and everything~

Gonna be a blast taking on challengers and handing out my Substitution Badge. Because of the League, I put Zexion on hold for the time being. He only really needs the wig and tome finished, and he'll be good to wear anyway. For now, I'm re purposing the ninja outfit that's in the gallery now to something a bit better. Got my hands on a pair of tabi, and I'm making a true
Busy~
Its been a exhausting past couple of weeks. Still! I'm getting things done and projects are moving forward. Guy is practically done. The wig is being styled, the necklace formed and the sword is being painted. With NYCC only a week away, I look forward to finishing that ASAP. I'll likely finish Zexion in time for Halloween, as he only needs the wig styled and the tome crafted.
As for future projects, I'm looking into putting together a suit of armor to match my WoW paladin's. Something in silver and purple, with a spear for a weapon. It should be quite a learning experience, if I can manage to find materials suitable enough. I'd love to get
Tales of the Abyss~
Shelfing the Pokemon Conquest warrior cosplay for now, in favor of putting forth an effort to make a group for cosplaying the cast of Tales of the Abyss! With a few characters already covered (Jade, Luke, Anise, and myself as Guy), I hope to make this into something truly spectacular. Ideally, we'll be revealing ourselves at Bakuretsu Con '12 of Vermont in November. Should be an interesting experience if nothing else. Work begins on the Guy costume once Otakon ends, with the beginning of August.
